Exe Batteries opened in 1973 and has been providing high quality service and batteries in and around Plymouth successfully ever since making us one of, if not the longest trading battery suppliers in the South-West.

We are a local family run business taking a hands on approach so you can always rely on the very best service from staff with many years of experience in the battery industry.

The shop is open 7 days a week so we are always available if you ever get any problems and you'll never be left waiting until the next business day to get assistance.

Exe Batteries stock a very wide range of battery types to fit all kinds of vehicles and on the rare occasion we don't have your battery in stock we can always get one within 24 hours or sometimes even later the same day.

Exe Batteries provide free testing for any kind of starting fault or if you just have unexplained warning lights appearing and we can diagnose starting motor faults or alternator problems or electrical shorts all completely free of charge.

We also offer a charging service if your battery is just flat rather than faulty. You can simply leave your battery with us to be charged or we can lend you a temporary battery so you can continue to use your vehicle whilst we recharge yours. We will take care of fitting the temporary battery and re-fitting yours once it is recharged.

In our early years we manufactured and repaired batteries in our workshop and the experience gained during those years helps us to understand the difference between a faulty battery and one that has simply become discharged through infrequent or low-mileage use.

Our fitting service is completely free even on the most difficult or time-consuming jobs.
